Gratitude Tree with Acorn Favors
What’s your favorite part of Thanksgiving? Naturally, I’m a real big fan of the food. Who isn’t? In addition, though, my family has always taken some time out of the evening to reflect on the things that we’re really grateful for. Be it in the form of a list on notecards, shared verbally around the table, or in the form of a Gratitude Tree! A gratitude tree is a way to display the things you’re grateful for while creating a beautiful and seasonal display. Each dinner guest gets a paper leaf or a few leaves, and they write something they’re thankful for on each leaf. It’s a great activity to do at a Thanksgiving gathering.

Before you start, clean the acorns. Tie the ribbon to the small stem on the acorn cap. I did a simple knot around it and secured it with a little blob of glue. Make sure your glue is transparent after hardening.
After the hanging is nice and secure put some glue on the acorn (but leave out the cap) and spread it thoroughly. Use a paint brush if needed.
Sprinkle the acorn with lots and lots of glitter. This is the fun part! Sprinkle until everything is nicely covered in glitter. Give the acorn a little shove or two to remove excess glitter.
Well, that was easy! And it only took minutes!
