National K9 Veterans Day

National K9 Veterans’ Day was first created by Joe White of Jacksonville, in Florida, who was the patriotic hero of the Vietnam War. Mr. White was also a responsible  K9 handler and trainer. 

K9 Veterans day celebrates to pay honor and tribute to the A Military War Dog, or Military Working Dog, (MWD), service Dogs ar a canine trained for War. On March 13, 1942, US Army decided to start the War Dog Program, also known as K-9 Corps. As per to statement of American Humane, dogs were declared the first time as an official part of the U.S. Armed Forces.
